We invite you to take a private tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
During the trip, you will see wonderful Inca architecture and amazing natural sceneries.
Explore ancient agricultural terraces and the magnificent architecture of Pisaq.
Further north we visit the great Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo with its huge walls.
Don’t miss this fantastic adventure in the heart of the Inca Empire.
07:30 h. Our Sacred Valley Tour starts right at your hotel in Cusco, our guide will pick you up from there.
Shortly after, we take a winding road to the mountains north of Cusco, to the Urubamba valley.
Our first stop takes place at Awanacancha, a nice social project dedicated to elaborate Andean textiles.
Among the items, you can find hats, scarves, wallets, as well as the popular chullos, an iconic hut of Peru.
Besides the textiles, here you will also see llamas, vicuñas, and alpacas, at large corrals.
Later on, we will stop at a natural lookout point from where you can have a panoramic view of the Sacred Valley.
Shortly afterward head to the Ruins of Pisac, an important Inca citadel located above the modern Pisac village.
The most impressive feature is the agricultural terracing, covering the hillsides.
In addition, visitors also see aqueducts and amazing Inca masonry in the well-preserved buildings.
Afterward, we walk down to the Pisac Market.
Around the market, you will find ceramics, textiles, and many other handmade products.
Likewise, you will also find jewelry made with silver, gold, and peculiar Andean toys.
Unlike Cusco markets, Pisaq products are cheaper and negotiable.
Shortly after we visited a typical restaurant, in which we will enjoy good Andean gastronomy.
Finally, we will leave in the direction of the Ruins of Ollantaytambo.
Ollantaytambo is undoubtedly one of the greatest architectural legacies of ancient Peru.
According to history, it was used as a fortress by the Inca resistance, against the conquerors.
Here we visit the most important sectors with our local guide and enjoy breathtaking views.
After exploring the ruins, we return to the city of Cusco.
