HUACACHINA AND PARACAS 2 DAYS TRIP
Full Description
Day 1º: Travel to the City of Ica – Huacachina Oasis.
08:00 h. Our guide picks you up from your hotel in Lima and then we drive towards the city of Ica.
The trip takes about 4 hours and involves nice views of the Pacific Ocean.
12:00 h. Upon arrival in Ica, we will visit a traditional vineyard where locals produce a spirit known as Pisco.
At the zone, we will learn about the old method of making Pisco and will taste some bottles.
After touring around the vineyard, we will have time for lunch at the same site.
Afterward, we visit the Museum of Ica, which is located at the heart of the city.
This interesting building houses the remains of ancient Peruvian cultures.
Among the relics, you will see ancient textiles, deformed skulls, cranial surgery, and mummy bundles.
Finally, we drive to the Huacachina Oasis which is located nearby.
16:00 h. Once in Huacachina, we will do a dune buggy tour around the desert.
The tour involves plenty of great views, adrenaline, and a lot of fun.
During the ride, we will make various stops along the way for photos.
There will be some points where you will have the opportunity to practice Sandboarding.
After sunset, our guide will drop you off at the hotel.
Overnight in Huacahina Pueblo at the Hotel Hosteria Suiza ***
Day 2ª: Ballestas Islands and Paracas Peninsula – Lima.
08:45 h. We leave for Paracas Bay soon after breakfast. (1-hour drive)
Upon arrival in Paracas, we head to the local pier to take the boat tour to the Ballestas Islands.
10:00 h. During the tour, we will stop along the way to observe a peculiar drawing.
This enigmatic drawing is etched on the slope of a hill, and its origins and real purpose are unknown.
After some time, we will reach the Ballestas Islands, a small archipelago full of wildlife.
While touring around we will spot large colonies of sea lions and hundreds of marine birds.
We also find here small groups of Humboldt penguins, usually resting outside their caves.
In addition, visitors will also enjoy great views of the ocean and peculiar rock formations.
Later on, we will return to the mainland, and continue with our schedule.
12:00 h. Our last tour takes place at the Paracas Peninsula, a peculiar desert coast overlooking the sea.
The Paracas peninsula offers visitors amazing views of the Pacific blue ocean and the dry Peruvian Desert.
Along the way, we will visit some beaches and will stop at the end for lunch at a nice fishing village.
15:00 h. Finally, we will drive back to Lima.
18:30 h. Upon your arrival in Lima, our driver will take you to your hotel.

Passport: Remember to bring your passport. Foreign tourists are exempt from the 18% tax on hotel rooms. However, they must present their original passport and the immigration card received upon entering the country to qualify for this exemption.
