Our tour to Machu Picchu involves a wonderful train ride that descent from Cusco into the cloud forest.
During this journey, passengers will enjoy fantastic views of the Urubamba River.
Once in Machu Picchu, we will visit the ruins with a private guide.
Among the Inca buildings, we will visit the Sun Temple, Condor Temple, and the popular Intiwatana.
After the tour, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own.
05:00 h. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco.
Shortly afterward, we drive to the train station.
The train leaves at 06:00 h, towards Aguas Calientes, a modern little village close to Machu Picchu.
The journey offers excellent natural sceneries, with many staggering views of the Andes and the cloud forest.
After passing the village of Ollantaytambo, the train starts to descend into the cloud forest.
After approximately 4 hours we will arrive in Aguas Calientes.
Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at the station, and shortly afterward we will take a bus up to the Ruins.
The bus ride takes around 20 minutes and offers along the way excellent views of the surrounding mountains.
During our visit, we will see the most important zones of Machu Picchu, such as the solar clock, and the Sun Temple, among others.
Additionally, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own.
Eventually, we will take the bus down to the village of Aguas Calientes. Free time for lunch.
Finally, we head to the train station of Aguas Calientes to take our train back to Cusco.
Upon your arrival in Cusco, our representatives pick you up at the train station and transfer you to your hotel.

How long does the train journey to Machu Picchu take?
It takes 4 hours if the train leaves from the city of Cusco.
If the train leaves from the Ollantaytambo train station, it takes only 2 hours.
