Tour to Pampas Galeras

Part I: Departure from Nazca to Pampas Galeras Reserve.

08:30 h. Our tour begins with the collection of our clients from their hotels in Nazca.
Shortly afterward, we will drive to the east, towards the Andes, following a winding road.
On the way, you will enjoy a magnificent landscape that combines different ecological levels.

We drive uphill for about 2 hours till reaching an elevation of 4200 meters.
Along the way, we will see the highest sand dune in the world, a huge mountain of sand.
After reaching around 3800 meters high, we drive across the land of Guanacos.
The Guanaco is a Vicuña relative, and they are usually seen in groups at this altitude.

Part II: Vicuña Reserve Bárbara D’Achille.

Upon arrival, we visit first a museum that shows all the fauna (stuffed animals) that exist in the area.
Later on, we will walk around the park, visiting various spots where Vicuñas used to gather.

Here you will have the best chance to take a closer look at the vicuñas in their natural environment.
Our guide will provide information about the Vicuña Project in the region, as well as their festival called El Chacu.
Additionally, the park also shelters various birds, including the Andean condor.

Finally, we will return to the city of Nazca.
