06:30 a.m. Your adventure begins bright and early, as our representative arrives at your hotel to personally pick you up, ensuring that all preparations are in place for the day ahead. From there, we’ll set off on our journey towards the awe-inspiring Humantay Lagoon.

As we depart from the historic city of Cusco, you’ll travel in a comfortable tourist vehicle. Along the way, we’ll pass through picturesque Andean landscapes, and soon, you’ll find yourself winding through charming villages and rural communities, offering a glimpse into the traditional way of life in this region. Next, we’ll arrive at the quaint town of Mollepata, where we’ll pause for a hearty breakfast. This delicious meal will provide the energy needed to fuel your exploration of the majestic Peruvian wilderness.

Following breakfast, our journey continues as we ascend through increasingly dramatic landscapes until we reach Soraypampa, located at an elevation of 3,900 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, you’ll immediately notice the panoramic views of towering snow-capped peaks, which mark the beginning of our exhilarating hike.

At this point, we’ll embark on our trek toward the hidden gem that is Humantay Lagoon. For approximately two hours, we’ll navigate trails that wind through diverse ecosystems, from rugged mountain terrain to vibrant alpine meadows. As we progress, each step will bring you closer to the pristine turquoise waters of the lagoon, making the hike, though challenging at times, incredibly rewarding.

Eventually, the landscape will open up, revealing the breathtaking beauty of the Humantay Lagoon. Surrounded by the imposing Humantay Mountain, the lagoon’s crystal-clear waters reflect the towering snow-capped peaks, creating a scene of unparalleled natural splendor. Here, we’ll take ample time to soak in the tranquility of this serene location, capture unforgettable photographs, and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

After fully experiencing the stunning views and peaceful ambiance of the lagoon, we’ll retrace our steps back to Soraypampa. Once we return, our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Mollepata. Upon arrival, we’ll indulge in a delicious lunch featuring traditional Andean cuisine—providing the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge after our hike.

Following our meal, we’ll begin the scenic drive back to Cusco. Along the way, you’ll have further opportunities to admire the Andean landscapes and reflect on the incredible experiences of the day. We estimate arriving back in Cusco around 6:30 p.m., where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, thus concluding this unforgettable journey.
