Mystery Peru began in the late 1990s when founder Enrique Umbert guided travelers across the Nazca desert. Today our bilingual specialists design immersive itineraries backed by reliable logistics, ethical partnerships, and transparent pricing.

Where Mystery Peru began
Mystery Peru was born in Ica as a family-run operator focused on the Nazca Lines. Guided by the vision of sharing Peru responsibly, we expanded from desert flights to nationwide expeditions.
1998
Nazca desert beginnings
Enrique Umbert started arranging scenic flights over the Nazca Lines and guiding travelers through the desert oasis of Huacachina.
2003
Mystery Peru brand
We launched Mystery Peru as a dedicated travel studio crafting custom journeys across the south coast and the Sacred Valley.

Cusco operations hub
