DAY 1
Journey Into the Desert and Camp Beneath the Stars
Your adventure begins at 2:00 PM with pickup from your hotel in Nazca. After a short drive to the foothills of Cerro Blanco, you’ll meet your guide and begin your ascent into one of Peru’s most spectacular desert landscapes.
As you climb higher, panoramic views of the Nazca Valley unfold before you. The immense scale of Cerro Blanco quickly becomes apparent as endless golden slopes stretch toward the horizon. Along the route, your guide will share insights about the region’s geology, desert ecosystem, and the unique formation of this legendary dune.
By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at the campsite located high on Cerro Blanco. Here, you’ll have time to relax, take photographs, and enjoy the tranquility of the desert before sunset.
As the sun slowly disappears behind the distant mountains, the landscape transforms into a sea of gold, orange, and crimson colors. This is one of the most beautiful moments of the expedition and a favorite among photographers.
