The Golden Shadows Trek begins at 3:30 PM at our office in Paracas town, where we gather before setting off on this unforgettable adventure. From here, we head into the breathtaking Paracas National Reserve, a place where the vast desert meets the endless Pacific Ocean.

Accompanied by an enthusiastic English-speaking guide, we’ll embark on a 1.5-hour scenic walk, exploring the reserve’s most fascinating landscapes. Along the way, our guide will share interesting stories and facts about the history, wildlife, and unique geography of this incredible protected area.

As we walk, we’ll come across several stunning viewpoints. First, we admire the rugged cliffs of Cuesta Farallones, then take in the dramatic coastal scenery at Punta Lobos. We’ll also visit Dos Cruces, a place of quiet beauty, and the Península Arena, each offering a unique perspective of the desert meeting the sea.

The highlight of the trek is reaching the peak of Kori-Apu, the Golden Mountain. Here, we pause to take in one of the most breathtaking sunsets in all of Peru. The sky transforms into a spectacular mix of fiery reds, deep purples, and glowing golds, while the vast Pacific Ocean below shimmers with the fading light. The only sounds we hear are the gentle wind and the waves crashing against the cliffs, creating a truly peaceful and unforgettable moment.

This experience is perfect for nature lovers and photographers. The contrast between the golden desert, rocky cliffs, and deep blue ocean creates endless opportunities for capturing stunning photos. Every step of the journey is a chance to witness nature’s beauty up close.

As the sun disappears and the sky turns to twilight, our tour comes to an end. We then board our comfortable bus and head back to Paracas town. End of the tour.
