Rainbow Mountain itself serves as a stunning backdrop, with its vivid reds, golds, and turquoises creating a surreal and mesmerizing scene. The Rainbow Mountain Tour starts early with hotel pickup and a drive southeast from Cusco. After a buffet breakfast in Cusipata, we continue to Kayrawiri to begin our hike at 4430 meters. Enjoy stunning views of mountains and lagoons as we hike to Rainbow Mountain. Our guide will explain the site before we descend, have lunch in Cusipata, and return to Cusco by around 6 pm.

Early in the morning, 06:30 am, our Rainbow Mountain Tour begins. Our tour transport will pick you up directly from your hotel and head southeast of Cusco. The journey takes approximately 2 hours, passing through the towns of Andahuaylillas and Cusipata. We will make our first stop here to enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast
After breakfast, we will travel for another hour to reach Kayrawiri, located at 4430 meters above sea level, where we will start our hike. Before we begin, our guide will provide a brief informational talk. The hike to Rainbow Mountain takes about 1 hour, depending on the pace of the group. Along the way, we will enjoy spectacular panoramic views of mountains, lagoons, and the Vilcanota mountain range, surrounded by the majestic Ausangate snow-capped peak. We will also see South American camelids such as llamas, guanacos, and alpacas.
Upon reaching the viewpoint of the famous Rainbow Mountain, our guide will explain the site, and you will have the opportunity to appreciate and enjoy the stunning landscapes surrounding the mountain.
After exploring Rainbow Mountain, we will return along the same path, descending for approximately 1 hour to Kayrawiri, where we will take our transport back to Cusipata for lunch. We will then travel for an additional 2 hours back to the city of Cusco, arriving around 5 pm. Drop off at your hotel.
