Your Colca Canyon Tour from Arequipa begins at 7:15 a.m. with hotel pickup by your English-speaking guide. As we leave the city, we head toward the highlands, stopping briefly for snacks and coca leaves before entering the Aguada Blanca National Reserve. Here, wild vicuñas and alpacas roam freely across the vast altiplano. The drive continues past stunning landscapes until we reach Viscachani for a warm coca tea and dramatic mountain views. Then, we ascend to the Andes Viewpoint at 4,800 meters, where you’ll admire snowcapped volcanoes like Misti, Chachani, Sabancaya, and Ampato.

Descending into the Colca Valley, we arrive at Chivay around midday and enjoy lunch at a local Andean restaurant with live folk music. Afterward, you’ll settle into a cozy lodge in a nearby village with private rooms and Andean charm. In the afternoon, you can explore the village and experience local life, then head to the relaxing La Calera hot springs, surrounded by towering canyon walls. Overnight at the village of Chivay.

Wake up early to catch nature’s most incredible show. After breakfast at 5:30 a.m., we depart for the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. As we drive along the canyon edge, the morning light reveals ancient terraces, colonial towns, and the winding Colca River below. Along the way, we make photo stops and explore pre-Inca tombs and test platforms carved into rock. At the viewpoint, spend over an hour watching Andean condors soar gracefully over one of the world’s deepest canyons.

After enjoying the condors, we return to Chivay, passing Andean villages rich in culture and history. At midday, we stop for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant before beginning the scenic ride back to Arequipa. We’ll retrace our route across the volcanic altiplano and vicuña reserve, arriving in the city around 5:00 p.m. Upon arrival, we transfer you back to your hotel. End of the tour.
