TOUR DESCRIPTION

Day 1º: Tourist bus to the Colca Canyon – Overnight in Chivay.
07:30 h. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa, and together, we will set forth towards the Colca Canyon.
The bus trip promises breathtaking views, making every moment of the journey a visual delight.

During our journey, we’ll make a stop at Pampas Cañahuas, a natural reserve nestled at an altitude of 3,500 meters.
This enchanting reserve is a haven for the elusive and elegant vicuñas, one of the most prized and protected members of the camelid family.
Later on we will reach the zone of Viscachani, where we will take a moment to stretch our legs and indulge in some refreshing coca tea.

Continuing our ascent on a dirt road, we will soon reach the highest point of our adventure – The lookout point of the Andes, standing tall at an impressive altitude of 4,800 meters.
From here, an awe-inspiring panorama awaits you, as you gaze at a distance upon the magnificent volcanoes of Arequipa.
Among them, the striking Ubinas, Misti, the active Sabancaya, and the revered Ampato, paint a surreal picture against the vast Andean canvas.

Descending from the heights, we’ll arrive at the charming village of Chivay. Here will have lunch with the group in a typical restaurant.
Afterward, we will head to our comfortable hotel to relax and freshen up.
As the afternoon progresses, you’ll have some free time to explore the quaint little village of Chivay at your own pace.
As the sun begins to set, prepare for a rejuvenating experience at the thermal pools of Chivay.

Here, you can unwind and soak in the warm waters amidst the serenity of the surroundings.
In the evening, we’ll visit a local restaurant for a delectable Andean dinner.
Indulge in a delightful dinner accompanied by live Andean music and traditional dance.
Overnight at the Hotel Casa Andina Colca ***. or similar.

Day 2º: Visit to the Cruz del Condor – Bus to the City of Puno.
Today, our journey begins with a visit to the renowned Cruz del Condor lookout point.
This 2 hours drive is full of stunning vistas of the Colca River and the breathtaking mountains that surround us.
Along the way, we’ll make strategic stops, providing perfect photo opportunities to capture the awe-inspiring scenery.

As we arrive at Cruz del Condor, you’ll understand why we started early.
This is the prime time to witness the Andean condors gracefully soaring through the skies.
These majestic birds are most active during the morning hours.

Spend some quality time at the lookout point, savoring the sight of the condors gliding through the deep canyon.
You’ll also have the chance to stroll along the canyon’s edge.
Later on we’ll make our way back to Chivay, passing through picturesque and authentic villages along the route.
At approximately 12:00 hrs, we’ll pause for lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we embark on a comfortable bus ride to the city of Puno.

The journey offers yet another chance to appreciate the beautiful scenic landscapes.
We will be arriving in Puno after sunset. The journey ends at the bus station.
